![]() The goal of this program is to elevate the level of scribe training available and become an industry benchmark to ensure prospective students and healthcare employers that graduates from approved programs are well trained and job-ready candidates. I wish you the best of luck in your scribe journey.SHREWSBURY, Mass., J/PRNewswire/ - The American Healthcare Documentation Professionals Group (AHDPG), a leader in healthcare training, certification, and services, is thrilled to announce the launch of our latest offering: Medical Scribe Training Program Approval. I don't think it was a waste of time and I don't regret doing it! ![]() Anyone who is thinking about ScribeAmerica and Scribe101, please please please take a med term course first! Even though parts of Scribe101 don't seem adequate to me, I did learn a LOT and I did find it to be very interesting information. I have also taken medical terminology in the past and I found it insanely helpful. I have worked as a front desk receptionist at a clinic before (my position didn't require much medical training, more like guiding through EMR and social skills), and when I had to fax charts to primary care physicians, I felt they were more complex than these google docs charts were. I find them to be very inadequate of a real chart. ![]() Also, I felt like there was a lot of contradictory information in the video and in the answer key to the chart? Like, in one video, the doctor clearly said that the patient's abdomen was soft, but when I submitted the chart, I was graded wrong because apparently the abdomen wasn't soft? I'm relieved to learn that I'm not the only one who didn't do the best on them, also because I feel it was my first time doing a chart. Hi! I'm taking Scribe 101 now and I'm currently on lesson 9 where we're doing the fake google docs charts. I’m hoping that my hiring manager was overestimating the actual waiting period and that it won’t be as long as he said. Hopefully in your area they are hiring immediately and won’t put you on a wait either. I hope this gives you a little hope as someone should reach out to you eventually! So don’t feel like it was a total waste yet. ![]() He said I would be on the waiting list for most likely “months”. He said right now in our area the Scribe program is frozen and partially frozen due to Covid-19 so we have to wait until everything is rolling again. BUT the hiring manager said that if they hire me I will be on a “Waiting List”. They said they’d get back to me in 1-2 weeks about a decision. I completed Scribe 101 on a Thursday and then five days later on a Tuesday a hiring manager emailed me to set up a virtual interview, which I had two days after that. I also wish they would show what questions we got wrong so we can learn from them. I had multiple questions that were repeated on the exam plus questions that were so blatantly easy it was kind of funny. But I feel like the exam wasn’t well made. I was very surprised by how much in detail information we have to know to scribe. I think the program was really good and informative. I got a 98% on the exam with 1 question wrong. It took me about 7 days to completely finish.
